Embracing All in the Clearfield Community Since 1959
About Us
St. Peter's Episcopal Church is a welcoming congregation committed to faith, service, and community. Our mission, "God is Love," reflects our dedication to sharing joy and gratitude for all that God has given us. We offer a variety of worship services, community outreach programs, and fellowship activities designed to nurture spiritual growth and a sense of belonging.
Our journey began more than 40 years ago at 1204 E. 1450 South in Clearfield, where we were originally founded as a parochial mission by the Church of the Good Shepherd in Ogden. The first service was held on September 21, 1958, and by February 1959, we had purchased land and started building our church with the help of the community and architect Richard Lowe. The church was dedicated on January 17, 1965, marking a significant milestone in our history.
Our growing congregation will make sure you feel right at home on your first visit.
St. Peter’s offers an intimate, welcoming worship space in the heart of Centerville.
Today, we are located at 1579 S. State in Clearfield, having moved to this new site in 2006. Our new location, dedicated on October 29, 2006, by the Right Rev. Carolyn Tanner Irish and Rev. Susan Beem Beery, allows us to continue our mission of serving others. We invite you to join us and experience the warm and welcoming spirit of our congregation as we strive to make a positive impact in our community.
